My Best Friends Farewell is a family owned and operated pet crematorium managed by Dee Taylor and her daughters, Tahlia and Teghan.
It started as a vision of Dee's, who since 1988, has been involved in after-life care. It has been a career that has spanned over 30+ years and began when Dee started work as a receptionist at a funeral home. Within a couple of years Dee was trained as a Funeral Director and this would eventually lead her into the roles of Crematorium and Funeral Home Manager.
Following the loss of her beloved 17 year old dog Tessie in 2020, Dee realised that the care that she expected for her precious girl was just as important as the care that she would expect for any other member of her family.
Whilst Dee could not fault the care she received from the pet crematorium she chose at the time, it did ignite a passion in her to open a pet crematorium where she could offer the same care for families and their beloved pets as she was offering for humans.
Tessie's loss also had a significant effect on her sisters, Tahlia and Teghan, and it inspired them to want to share in the care for families and their beloved pets during a time of loss.
Together with the help of their partners, the Taylor girls have worked towards establishing My Best Friends Farewell and their promise to you, as pet parents themselves is "your precious pet will be cared for in death, as you cared for them in life".
